CompactFast Data Recovery

CFast Experts - Free Quote

We can recover data from most brands of CompactFast (CFast) cards. Whether pictures have been accidentally deleted, formatted or the CFast card is unrecognized by your camera or card reader. Large majority of these cards stop working because of a failed component(s) inside the card. In most cases data recovery software will not be able to recover any data. Our proprietary techniques allow us to extract your data and thereby recover your data with a high success rate.

We have successfully recovered the pictures and photo sets for many professional and hobby photographers.

WHAT ACTUALLY IS A CFAST CARD AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

CFast memory card data is based on the Serial ATA bus, rather than the Parallel ATA/IDE bus like previous versions of CompactFlash cards. Although CFast cards are not physically or electrically compatible with CompactFlash cards, SATA can emulate the PATA command protocol. CFast cards use a female 7-pin SATA data connector, and a female 17-pin power connector.

In the wider embedded electronics industry, transition from CF to CFast is still relatively slow, probably due to hardware cost considerations and some inertia (familiarity with CF) and because a significant part of the industry is satisfied with the lower performance provided by CF cards, thus having no reason to change. A strong incentive to change to CFast for embedded electronics companies using designs based on Intel PC architecture is the fact that Intel has removed native support for the (P)ATA interface a few design platforms ago and the older CPU/PCH generations now have end-of-life status.

At this time many leading digital camera manufacturers use CFast in their consumer product lines, including: Delock, Arri Amira, Blackmagic Design, Canon(XC10), Hasselblad, Atomos, SanDisk, ProGrade and Lexar.

Regardless of the manufacturer of CFast card and the nature of its failure, we have successfully recovered hundreds of CFast cards for individual consumers, students, photographers and videographers. Our team is proficient in electronic component level repair, micro soldering and algorithm analysis of how data is stored and organized on CFast cards.

We recommend for you to send in your device so that one of our recovery experts can immediately start with a free analysis. This will allow us to determine the exact type of failure, associated cost and time necessary to recover your data.
